The Masked finally exited Monochrome Tower after climbing up all the stairs. The first thing they noticed was the abnormal cold air surrounding them, followed by the surprising bright view in sight. “W-what ha-ppened?” Meri shouted with her usual speech impediment. The forest in front of them was covered by thick layers of puffy white snow, continuing all the way to Tao village. Snowflakes were drifting down from the open sky. Reflecting light from the afternoon sun, the ice crystals appeared pinkish purple. With orange highlights, the scenery was simply stunning. “It must have been a few hours since we entered the tower, but how could winter arrive so early?” Leon couldn’t help but to question what they were seeing.

“So this is the outsider’s world, huh? Beautiful! Kind of cold, though.” Fresh to the environment, Noir was rather excited. He could put up with the cold breezes since he was basically a bunch of gas.

Although the Riolu had been body-training regularly in Mienfoo Dojo, the sudden strike of cold air still managed to give him goosebumps. His short fur slightly stood, making him look fuzzier than usual. “It should not be snowing at this time of the year, something is wrong!” Leon exclaimed.

Meri responded to the environmental change rather drastically; her body had transformed into “Snowy” form. Her round head turned slightly purple and it was coated with layers of green, translucent cells. The Castform was just like a tiny cyclone. Seeing Meri’s new form, Noir was overjoyed. “Wow, Meri! You can even change your appearance! That is simply too cool!” He drifted happily around his lover-to-be. Meri did not know what to say. She just blushed a little and looked to the floor.

“Meri can change forms according to the weather. You’ll get use to it soon.” Leon slightly grumbled to the overacting Haunter. It seemed like he had not gotten over his new teammate yet. “Others are already gone. They must have returned to the village, we should hurry too!” Leon continued, while examining the footprints left by others. He began running to the village, Meri followed and so did Noir.
