I have recently quit a job and I'm thinking about doing commissions for some cash. Though, I have never done commissions before, the only thing I know about them is that you set terms and draw and get money(?)...

So I'm very curious on how you do them, I would also love to hear from you how much money would you pay for my work. I could probably do lots of things, not only Pokemon. As long as I have some references to the character(s) you want, I can make a painting. Aside from that, I can do cartoons and realism, mostly portraits/animals for realism.

So yeah, please tell me what you think and I'll see if it is worth it~ :dummy:

And don't worry, I'll also focus on making arts for PMD-explorers group! :D

100$. Definantly 100$

That was the first thing that I thought, but I think my mind is back on logic. I agree with most of the privious comments on a price range from 10$ to 30$. Maybe sometimes even more. I bet if you opened commissions, you'd be rich in no time!

To be honest, I don't see it as an opportunity to get "rich". I just wanna make up my life with what I'm interested at. I can do part-time jobs, but those are just too boring...

I would like to open commissions right after my exams, which will end next Monday. I'll have free time until February next year, so I could do tons of commissions. Though, I'll have to consider if it earns me enough money, which then I may go to work for my uncle.

The reason being I would like to earn as much money as I can during my holidays, in order to pay for my next tuition fees. My parents are supporting me overseas, but the exchange rate is simply outrageous. I would like to help them with the best ability I have so yeah.

That about concludes my situation now.

I see. I think that the best you could do is stick with those part time jobs, and at the same time, take commissions. That might be a slightly good Idea but I wouldn't know that well since I'm still younger than 18..... I was thinking, a good job for you could be an art teacher! You like art, and you don't really like part time jobs sooooooo..... Yeah..... Or just brows around and see what you can find! Specking of browsing.... I think my books from the library are due...... Again...... I read them too fast and take to much time telling people how awesome they are that I forget to return them..... Darn....... Oh well. Good luck on finding something fun to work with!

lol I'm still studying and I am quite certain that I will get a good job instantly after my graduation, so I'm not worried about that.

I just wanna do something fun and enjoyable for the holidays during my studies.

Art teacher? :p Sounds fun but nah, it will not be suitable for this short amount of time. I tried doing part-time jobs and paint before and it's rather hard to adjust, so I'm gonna stick with any one of them lol~~

I was referred to this when I first considered commissions, and I think it's an excellent guide. As for prices it is entirely up to you, but maybe visit some other artists' page and see how much they price. :)
