The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Umm, what would the price be if I would commission my totodile Joseph + me with the Gravity Suit? (from Metroid Prime) 25$? 30$? or what?

Ah sorry I haven't replied to your note yet, but $25 is the base price since it is somewhat Pokemon-related. Additional character would cost $12 each and that depends on the complexity of your character. Also, will you in Gravity Suit be included as a bust shot or a full body figure?

Actually, what I meant is that I probably won't Commissioning you for a while. But it's very likely that I will when I'm living on my own. Probably within a few years.

As for the price, I should've expected that it would be high anyway. ^^;

But still, I guess that you accept ALMOST anything, right? I mean, anything except anything adult.

By anything, I meant that what would be in the commission could be anything, cars, jets, giant Mechs, (like in the MechWarrior/MechAssault series) etc.


Oh, I didn't know since you never mentioned anything about it. But hey, it's not easy to notice since DA was not supposed to accept adult submissions XD Though I've seen a art thief uploading a adult pokemon comic, which obviously was drawn by someone else (DarkMirage)

Alright. I have this awesome idea for a Team Undying piece. However, it's a bit different than just one image. It would be like a massive silent comic. A series of images that tell a story. A timeline of their history if you will. I'm thinking maybe ten images max, seven min. However, I'm a bit nervous about pricing. However, I really want this idea to come to life. But I can't draw to save my life, and if I wrote the sucker, I wouldn't get nearly as many views as I'd like.

Anyway, what's your policy on ordering in bulk? What would the price be? Also, if I were to offer my services as a writer, could I subsidize a chunk of the cost?

hmmm well that really does sound like it would cost a lot, I have to consider how many panels in a page too, so if you could approximately tell me about that, we could work it out. And yeah, I guess if you service as a writer, that would be able to cut the cost, but then again, I'm not sure if you would like me to draw the stuff out anymore...

Anyway, I guess if this is like a real big project, a discount can be granted. But for how much, I'll have to consider the details...
