Life sucks and then you die. Yes, you should take measures so that you can have a good life in the future, but if it keeps you from enjoying yourself today, that's no good.

I prefer just having a balance my whole life, to be honest! :3 With a career in art I feel like there's an appropriate balance of struggle and enjoyment!! :D

A balance, somewhat leaning towards the first choice because... you never know if you'll die unexpectedly! Pluuuus, it's best to enjoy food while you're young and at the peak of your metabolism.
